Isles: Coach, facilitator, artist, human
Isles is a coach, facilitator and multidisciplinary artist, with over five years of experience supporting individuals and teams in communication, creative expression and collective imagination.
A former Newspeak House fellow and improvisational theatre performer at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Isles brings both a systems thinking lens and a spirit of play to their work - helping groups navigate complexity while protecting what makes us most human.
Isles’ journey began as a foreign language teacher in China and a life drawing facilitator, before evolving into a space-holder and creative coach. They went on to create and host spaces for connection and creative expression - including Special Guest, The Facilitator’s Gathering, Trigger Conversations, and Life Draw Beijing.
Alongside facilitation, Isles has experience in improvisational theatre and is a practising multidisciplinary artist exploring photography, performance art and sound. In 2020-22, they undertook The Artist’s Way and took part in a peer-led learning journey with Huddlecraft - a collaborative learning experience that culminated in a co-created exhibition in London.
As a late-diagnosed neurodivergent and self-taught artist who never fully fit within traditional institutions, Isles approaches coaching and facilitation with an emphasis on inclusion and agency. Their practice weaves together creativity and play as pathways to resilience and transformation.
